Untar held Tarumanagara International Conference on the Application of Technology and Engineering 2023 (TICATE) and Tarumanagara International Conference on the Applications of Social Sciences & Humanities 2023 (TICASH) seminars, Friday (6/10) online through Zoom and Live Streaming on Untar Jakarta Youtube account.
The event presented keynote speakers Pro-Vice Chancellor of Academic Operations and Dean of Faculty of Health and Life Sciences at INTI International University Prof. Dr. S. Geetha Subramaniam, Director of Entrepreneurship Hub at The Hague Hospitality Business School Prof. Andriew Lim, Assistant Professor in School of Mechanical Engineering at Vellore Institute India Dr. Ayub Ahmed Janvekar, and Vice President, Market Exploration, Engagement, and Touchpoints (MEET) Multimedia University Malaysia Prof. Ir. Dr. Hairul Azhar Abdul Rasyid, Ph.D.
Secretary of the Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Study Program Didi Widya Utama, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. in his report hopes that this event could generate innovations to support the welfare of the global community, as stated in the conference theme: “Continuous Research In Generating Innovation to Support the Welfare of Global Society”.
He said TICATE and TICASH brought together professionals from various countries to share ideas and exchange knowledge in the fields of social sciences, humanities, technology, and engineering. The international conferences also serve as a platform for high-level international discussions and presentations on recent advances and new applications in the field of research.
“We would also like to thank the authors, presenters, and professors from Indonesia, Malaysia, Jamaica, Philippines, Thailand, USA, and Taiwan, who have contributed and actively participated in this international conference,” he added.
Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., A.E. revealed that this conference is a form of Untar’s contribution to world education, in line with the theme of Untar’s 64th Anniversary: “Global Impact through Quality Education”. Untar strives to create a greater impact on human life globally through quality education.
“Untar is also open to establish cooperation with other institutions, especially with institutions that actively participate in various fields including academic visits, joint teaching programs, joint research, exchange of academic materials, student exchange, and others,” said Rector.
At TICASH Prof. Geetha discussed self-reliance in the economic field. Achieving self-reliance is important for developing countries to reduce their dependence on foreign products, especially food.
Meanwhile, Prof. Andriew Lim discussed applied science research as a contribution to business innovation.
Further at TICATE, Dr. Ayub Ahmed Janvekar discussed the recent advancements in technology for home industry applications, particularly the use of burner technology for use in the kitchen.
In addition, Prof. Ir. Dr. Hairul Azhar Abdul Rashid, Ph.D. discussed how research can have an impact, such as technology that can have a positive impact on human life.
