Students of the Visual Communication Design (DKV) Study Program at Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar), Yovita Petrinne (2024) and Jacqlyne Elawitachya (2023), achieved recognition in the TUNAS (Tunggu Anak Siap) Bootcamp organized by the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (KOMDIGI). The event was held on 17–19 December at The 1O1 Hotel Dharmawangsa, South Jakarta.
The competition focused on developing an initiative campaign for Generation Z, serving as a bridge between parents and children aged 13–16, positioning Gen Z as “older siblings” in the digital media space.
In this competition, participants were challenged to design a campaign within a limited time frame, requiring focus, composure, and strong planning skills.
Through this program, the organizers aim to enable Gen Z to help bridge parental concerns regarding the impact of digital media, while also understanding the feelings of children who often feel restricted in their media usage.
Regarding the achievement, Yovita Petrinne stated that the knowledge applied in the competition came from learning experiences in the DKV Untar Study Program.
“We applied knowledge from the Media Design Studies and Creative Project Management courses, particularly in campaign strategy development and creative ideation. These courses were supervised by Anny Valentina,” she said.
Through this achievement, Yovita and Jacqlyne also expressed their appreciation for the opportunities and support provided by DKV Untar, noting that participating in competitions and bootcamps forms part of their learning process and academic reflection. (VC/YS)
