Untar officially now has a Professional Certification Institute (LSP). The inauguration of Untar’s LSP took place at the Untar Auditorium on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, alongside a seminar themed “Enhancing Higher Education Graduates’ Competitiveness through Professional Certification in the National & Global Job Market,” in response to the increasing demand for professional competencies in the era of global competition.
Untar Rector Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., emphasized that the establishment of Untar’s LSP is part of the university’s broader strategy to align higher education with industry needs.
“The inauguration of Untar’s LSP is a significant step to ensure that the education process we implement is truly aligned with professional standards in the workforce. Through the LSP, we aim to equip graduates with verified competencies so they can compete and meet the demands of today’s industry,” he said.
Head of Untar’s LSP, Dr. Drs. Rezi Erdiansyah, M.S., added that the establishment of the LSP reflects Untar’s commitment to bridging graduates with the real demands of the professional field.
“The establishment of this LSP is an important momentum for Untar to ensure that graduates are not only academically excellent but also possess professionally recognized proof of competence. We want to ensure that Untar graduates are ready to enter the industry with credible and standard-compliant certifications,” he explained.
Chairman of BNSP, Syamsi Hari, S.E., M.M., expressed his support for Untar in continuing to expand the scope of certification schemes. “The LSP serves to bridge graduates with the professions available in the field today. My hope is that these schemes continue to be developed, even reaching the international level in the future,” he said.
In addition, the Head of the BNSP Secretariat, Moh. Amir Syarifuddin, S.T., M.M., who served as the Keynote Speaker, emphasized the importance of professional certification as an instrument to strengthen the quality of Indonesia’s workforce, enabling them to compete on an international scale.
The event concluded with the signing of an MoU between the Chairman of BNSP and the Secretary of the Tarumanagara Foundation, Vedrych J. Kusnanto, S.Kom., M.M., witnessed by all attendees.
Inauguration and Seminar
Following the opening, the inauguration of the Steering Committee, Management Board, and Assessors of Untar’s LSP was conducted, marking the institution’s readiness to operate officially. The event then continued with presentations from the keynote speakers: BNSP Commissioner Prof. Dr. Amilin; Chairman of the Indonesian Furniture and Craft Industry Association (HIMKI), Abdul Sobur; and Untar FEB Professor, Prof. Dr. Carunia Mulya Firdausy.
