The Faculty of Information Technology (FTI) of Untar celebrated its 23rd anniversary with gratitude for its latest achievement—earning the Excellent Accreditation status from LAM INFOKOM. The celebration was held on Wednesday (06/08/2025) at the IT Knowledge Centre, Building R, Campus I Untar.
The event was attended by leaders of the Tarumanagara Foundation and the University, including Chairman of the Tarumanagara Foundation Board Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H., Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., as well as deans from various faculties within Untar. The FTI Untar academic community—comprising lecturers, staff members, and students—also took part in commemorating this meaningful occasion.
In her remarks, Dean of FTI Untar, Prof. Dr. Ir. Dyah Erny Herwindiati, M.Si., expressed her pride and appreciation for the faculty’s long journey since its establishment.
“Over the past 23 years, FTI Untar has faced numerous obstacles and challenges. Our determination and dedication to FTI Untar have motivated us as lecturers to continue striving forward. I would like to thank the University and Foundation leadership for their support. Hopefully, all aspirations for FTI Untar can be realized,” she said.
Rector of Untar, Prof. Amad, also praised the significant progress achieved by FTI Untar. He highlighted the steady increase in student enrollment and the faculty’s accreditation success as indicators of its academic quality.
“The development of FTI Untar continues to show positive progress. However, there are still challenges that need to be addressed, particularly in terms of the quantity and quality of academic staff. Moving forward, the University leadership will continue to support and facilitate this development. Academic innovation, collaboration, and internationalization must also continue to be strengthened,” the Rector stated.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Tarumanagara Foundation Board, Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H., emphasized the importance of FTI’s readiness to respond to rapid growth and increasing demands.
“FTI Untar has grown tremendously since it was established 23 years ago. With a significant increase in student enrollment—which has reached 1,400 students this year—there must also be strong human resources, along with continuous technological enhancement and renewal across all study programs. I hope FTI Untar will continue to grow and innovate in the future,” he remarked.

The 23rd-anniversary celebration served not only as a symbolic commemoration but also as a reflection of FTI Untar’s commitment to delivering high-quality education in the field of information technology.
