Nathalia Angelina and Joshua Steven Ongaran were chosen as the Ambassadors of Untar 2024 in the election event held at the Auditorium Building M, Campus I Untar, Friday (6/9/2024). The event, which was attended by students from various faculties, was the highlight of the Untar 2024 Ambassador election themed “The Inspiring Agents of Change” after the finalists had previously passed the preliminary stages.
A total of 21 finalists from outstanding students and female students from various faculties at Untar made it to the grand final round. At this stage, each participant expressed their opinion on various issues that are currently rife, in front of the jury and witnessed by the audience who packed the auditorium. Also present were Untar Rector Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, SH, MH, M.Kn, MM and Secretary of Tarumanagara Foundation Vedrych J. Kusnanto, S.Kom, M.M..
The jury chaired by Untung Subroto, M.Psi, Psychologist decided that Nathalia Angelina from the Faculty of Medicine class of 2021 and Joshua Steven Ongaran from the Faculty of Law class of 2022 were elected as Untar Ambassadors 2024.
In addition, there are other winning categories, namely 2024 Favorite Untar Ambassador Ichelle Hitomi Chow (Faculty of Economics and Business, FEB) and Martin Lie (Faculty of Engineering, FT), 2024 Intelligent Untar Ambassador Michael Angello (FEB) and Chiatha Destalova (Faculty of Psychology, FPsi), 2024 Talented Untar Ambassador Diva Ananta Syofian (Faculty of Law, FH) and Bayu Dwi Nanda (Faculty of Communication Science, Fikom), 2024 Inspirational Untar Ambassador Noel Vania Koper (FEB) and Justine Samuel Hutabarat (FPsi), and 2024 Friendship Untar Ambassador by Grace Patricia (Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, FSRD) and Raynaldo Hengky (FSRD). Meanwhile, Harapan II nominations were given to Felicia Amanda Sulistio (FH) and Nicholas Richardson (FEB), Harapan I Nathania Giovanni (FPsi) and Arfadillah Damaera Agus (FT), Vice II nominations Cintania (Fikom) and Antonius Erick Susanto (FT), and Vice I went to Michelle Tan (FEB), and James Kenan Adriel (FT).
Head of Untar Student and Alumni Institute (Lemawa) Dr. Adianto, M.Sc. who is also the chairman of the event organizer said that the selection of Untar Ambassadors is not just an election event but can display the character, intellect, dedication, and commitment of the selected finalists.
The Untar Ambassador participants are expected to be the projection of anti-narcotics and anti-bullying among students and create new initiatives that can have a positive impact on the campus and community.
This activity, which has been held since 2009, is a form of Untar’s continuous dedication in supporting the development of student character and leadership in order to become agents of change for their environment. In addition, it is part of Untar’s support in the MBKM program where students have the opportunity to channel their talents and interests during college. (VC/YS/PA/KJ)
