Faculty of Arts and Design (FSRD) Untar held a seminar with the theme “Amerta: Memory of Love” at Campus I Untar, Thursday (6/6).
The seminar was part of Menjadi Indonesia 2024 event and was held to commemorate Bung Karno’s birthday on June 6, 1901.
Lecturer of FSRD Untar Fivanda, S.Ds., M.Ds. as the Chief Executive revealed the event as a forum for students to increase their pride in the diversity and beauty of Indonesia.
“Through this activity, students are expected to reflect and capture moments of love for the homeland, culture, nature, and interpersonal relationships within the social community,” she added.
The speakers were Dean of FSRD Untar Dr. Kurnia Setiawan, S.Sn., M.Hum., Founder of Peranakan Chinese Library Museum Azmi Abubakar, Secretary General of Inti Candra Jap, and moderated by Swara Indonesia Cemerlang volunteer Isra Mirani.
All speakers discussed the point of view of loving Indonesia universally and embracing diversity.
The Menjadi Indonesia 2024 activity is an initiative of FSRD Untar that aims to promote the values of nationality, diversity, and love for Indonesia in the modern era.
The series of activities began with a workshop on Monday (6/5) and a content creation competition in the form of photos and video reels.
A total of 198 submitted photos and videos will be exhibited at the Rupareka Festival at Lippo Mall Puri, from Friday (7/6) to Sunday (9/6).
Fivanda hopes that the works produced from this competition can be a means to spread positive messages.
“We hope this work can reflect the love and beauty of Indonesia, both locally and internationally,” Fivanda concluded. (KJ/AW/KJ)
