Finding and sorting through information is part of students’ daily academic activities. Amid the ease of accessing information digitally, libraries continue to play an important role as credible sources of academic references through books, journals, and various scholarly literature.
This role is highlighted through National Library Visit Day, commemorated every September 14. The occasion serves as a reminder of the importance of reading and literacy, particularly in educational environments.
At Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar), students can make use of the Tarumanagara Knowledge Centre (TKC), located on the 7th floor of the Main Building at Untar Campus I. In addition to TKC, library facilities are also available at several faculties to support students’ academic needs.
The presence of libraries not only complements classroom learning. They also provide spaces for students to broaden their knowledge, find references, discuss ideas, and develop new perspectives.
Through the development of facilities and literary resources, Untar encourages libraries to become part of an academic ecosystem that supports learning, knowledge development, and innovation among the academic community. (CJ/YS)
