The Student Executive Board (BEM) of Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar) organized Tarumanagara Fair (TFair): Career Expo 2026 from 25–27 February 2026 at Untar Campus I. The event served as a collaborative platform and career fair connecting students and fresh graduates with the professional industry.
Carrying the theme “Accelerating Career, Unlocking Opportunities: Future in Fast Lane,” TFair 2026 was designed as a strategic space to accelerate students’ career readiness amid increasingly competitive and dynamic job market conditions.
A total of 19 companies from various industry sectors participated in the event. In addition to offering job vacancies and internship programs, several companies also conducted on-the-spot interviews. These opportunities provided students with direct experience in recruitment processes while opening broader chances to enter the workforce after graduation.
Chairperson of TFair 2026, Prajnacita Chandrashanvi, stated that the chosen theme reflects the need for students to become faster and more adaptive in planning their professional futures.
“This theme encourages students to accelerate their career paths amid today’s multidynamic professional world. In addition to presenting various industry sectors, we are also organizing career talk shows to help students prepare themselves appropriately,” she said.
Rector of Universitas Tarumanagara, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., emphasized during the opening ceremony the importance of synergy between universities and industry in preparing graduates for the workforce.
According to him, competition in the professional world continues to intensify, particularly in today’s highly competitive era. Therefore, Untar continuously develops curricula that are relevant to industry needs while implementing various learning schemes that enable students to gain superior competencies, including through professional competency certifications.
In addition to the career exhibition, TFair 2026 also featured career talk shows discussing industry trends, self-development strategies, and readiness to face professional challenges. This series of activities further strengthened Untar’s role as a university that adapts to industry needs while consistently supporting student competency development.
Through TFair 2026, Universitas Tarumanagara once again reaffirmed its commitment to preparing graduates who are not only job-ready, but also highly competitive and equipped with competency certifications relevant to the demands of today’s industries. (KS/YS)
