The Gokar team of Mechanical Engineering Study Program, Mechanical Engineering Tarumanagara Racing Team (MeRT), won the Top 4 position in the Shifter University Category at the National Eshark Cup Series V race at Sentul Karting Circuit, July 22-23, 2023.

Gokar rider, Untar student Ryan Kurniawan, who won the fourth place, revealed that the knowledge he had learned while studying at Untar could be implemented in this competition, so he won the championship.

Ryan especially thanked his MeRT friends who were united and supported him in this competition.

MeRT Untar Chairman Irshal Ardiansyah said that he and his team are committed to making MeRT Untar better in the future. In addition, he hopes MeRT can continue to compete in the national and international arena.

“Thank you for all the support given by Untar and FT to MeRT. We hope with the support we can continue to make achievements,” said the young man who is familiarly called Ical.

MeRT is a student racing team under the auspices of the faculty and Tarumanagara Mechanical Students Association (IMAMTA). The team was founded in 1995 and is active in the world of inter-student racing. (DW/AW)
