The Faculty of Architecture, Planning, and Real Estate (FAPRE) at Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar) held its first graduation ceremony (Yudisium) since its official establishment as a new faculty, conferring degrees upon 103 graduates on Tuesday (21/7/2026) at Untar Campus I. Previously, the architecture and planning study programs were part of Untar’s Faculty of Engineering before being reorganized into FAPRE as an independent faculty.
The ceremony marked the beginning of FAPRE’s journey in graduating students from its five academic programs: the Undergraduate Architecture Program, the Undergraduate Urban and Regional Planning–Real Estate (PWK-RE) Program, the Master of Architecture Program, the Master of PWK-RE Program, and the Professional Architect Program.
FAPRE Dean Maria Veronica Gandha, S.T., M.Arch. stated that the inaugural graduation ceremony represents an important milestone in strengthening FAPRE’s identity as a faculty that integrates architecture, planning, and real estate education within a unified academic ecosystem.
She also encouraged graduates to continue developing their professional competencies while upholding their responsibility to serve society.
“Continue to grow and strive for excellence. Always be proud to be Untarians who contribute to society through your intellectual capacity, wisdom, and sense of responsibility,” she said.
National Chair of the Indonesian Institute of Architects (Ikatan Arsitek Indonesia/IAI), Ar. Gregorius Budi Yulianto, IAI, AA, commended the establishment of FAPRE as an independent faculty. According to him, the move reflects Untar’s commitment to advancing integrated education in architecture and planning.
He emphasized that education in architecture, planning, and real estate should not only produce competent professionals but also graduates capable of interdisciplinary thinking and developing solutions to complex societal challenges.
“What Indonesia needs is a way of thinking that can view problems holistically, connect different disciplines, understand people, and deliver solutions that benefit society,” Gregorius said.
During the ceremony, Director of Facilities Management at Colliers Indonesia, Christina Ng, CFM, LEED Green Associate, presented certificates to the graduates as a symbol of the industry’s support for strengthening the competencies of future professionals.

The graduation program also featured a talk show with two Untar alumni: Mario Wibowo, Founder of M.W Studio and a 1997 graduate of the Undergraduate Architecture Program, and Cita Vaga, Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Sinarmas Land, who graduated from the Undergraduate PWK-RE Program in 2006 and the Master of PWK-RE Program in 2017. Both speakers shared their professional experiences and insights into career opportunities and challenges in the fields of architecture, planning, and real estate.
Architecture and planning education at Untar has evolved since 1962 and has produced more than 8,000 alumni who now contribute across various sectors. Following its transition from the Faculty of Engineering to an independent faculty, the establishment of FAPRE is expected to strengthen further the development of education, research, and professional practice in architecture, planning, and real estate.
