The Doctor of Civil Engineering Study Program (DTS) of the Faculty of Engineering (FT) at Universitas Tarumanagara held a national seminar titled “Conduct Research and Excellent Writing to Scopus” on Saturday (09/05/2026) at Untar Campus I. The seminar was organized to provide deeper insights into research methodologies and scientific writing techniques suitable for publication in Scopus-indexed journals.

The seminar featured Dr. Ir. Endah Murtiana Sari, S.T., M.M., as the keynote speaker and was moderated by Ir. Oei Fuk Jin, S.T., M.Eng., D.Eng. Participants included academics and students seeking to broaden their understanding of research and scientific publication.

On the same occasion, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Untar, Dr. Ir. Wilson Kosasih, S.T., M.T., IPM., ASEAN Eng., expressed his appreciation to both the speaker and participants attending the seminar. “It is hoped that this activity can serve as a platform for academic competency development, particularly in improving the quality of research and scientific writing within higher education institutions,” he stated.

During the session, the speaker explained various important aspects of the research process, ranging from methodology preparation and research data management to scientific article writing techniques aligned with international publication standards. Participants also gained insights into strategies for producing scientific papers that are systematic, clear, and academically contributive.

Through this seminar, DTS FT Untar aims to encourage the improvement of research quality and scientific publications among academics and students. The activity also forms part of efforts to strengthen research culture and develop scientific writing skills relevant to international publication standards. (VC/YS)
