Prayudi earned a doctoral degree from the Doctoral Program in Civil Engineering at Universitas Tarumanagara after completing an Open Doctoral Promotion Session held at the Auditorium of Building M, Campus I of Universitas Tarumanagara, Tuesday (13/1/2026)
The open session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M. The doctoral promotion was supervised by promoter Prof. Dr. Ir. Agus Taufik Mulyono, M.T., I.P.U., ASEAN Eng., along with co-promoters Dr. Ir. Najid, M.T. and Dr. Ir. Endah Murtiana Sari, S.T., M.M.
During the session, Prayudi defended a dissertation titled “Service Quality of the Jakarta–Bandung High-Speed Railway in Terms of Passenger Satisfaction Levels.” The study examined the service quality of the Jakarta–Bandung High-Speed Railway (KCJB) as a national strategic mega project and Indonesia’s first high-speed rail project utilizing advanced technology.
The research highlighted the impact of KCJB on changes in public travel behavior and its relevance to national transportation development policies. The study was conducted to evaluate KCJB’s service quality based on passenger satisfaction levels, ensuring that the project delivers optimal added value.
In the study, Prayudi focused the analysis on passengers’ perceptions and future expectations as factors influencing service quality. The findings resulted in a KCJB service quality model based on passenger characteristics, which can serve as a reference for stakeholders in formulating policies and developing future high-speed rail services.
Untar Rector, who also chaired the session, Amad Sudiro, expressed appreciation for Prayudi’s achievement. “This research can serve as valuable input for the railway sector in Indonesia,” he said. (KS/YS)
