As part of efforts to strengthen internationalization and expand global partnership networks, Untar welcomed a delegation from the University of Dundee, United Kingdom, on Monday (12/01/2026), at Campus I of Untar.
The visit marked an initial step toward exploring cooperation between the two higher education institutions in academic development, research, and human resource exchange in the field of education. Representatives from the University of Dundee, Dr. Parulian Sihotang and Yuli Imelda, attended the meeting to discuss potential collaborations that could be realized through long-term strategic partnerships.
The delegation was welcomed by Untar Rector, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Cooperation, Assoc. Prof. Sri Tiatri, S.Psi., M.Si., Ph.D., Psikolog, as well as Chairman of Tarumanagara Foundation, Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H.
In his remarks, Dr. Parulian Sihotang expressed his positive impression of the reception provided by Untar. He stated that the warm and open welcome encouraged his team to accelerate discussions with Untar as a sign of their commitment to establishing collaboration.
“I feel very welcomed at Untar, and this encouraged us to accelerate the meeting and discussions regarding future cooperation,” he said.
Responding to the statement, the Untar Rector expressed hope that the meeting would soon be followed by the signing of a memorandum of understanding. The planned cooperation will cover various fields, including academic collaboration, research, as well as student and faculty exchange programs. “We hope this collaboration can soon be realized through the signing of an MoU and further developed into various forms of cooperation, ranging from joint research to student and lecturer exchanges,” he stated.
Also attending the meeting were Head of the Institute for Cooperation and International Relations of Untar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ir. Hugeng, S.T., M.T., SMIEEE, IPU, Head of the Institute for Learning and Academic Innovation, Dr. Ir. Steven Darmawan, S.T., M.T., and International Relations Manager, Dr. Richard C. Adam, S.H., LL.M.
The visit reflects Untar’s commitment to expanding international cooperation while strengthening its position as a higher education institution actively engaged in building global partnerships to enhance the quality of education and research. (VC/YS)
