Tarumanagara Foundation held a Donation Handover Ceremony for the Dharmayana Untar Student Activity Unit (UKM) as a form of support for humanitarian activities that will be carried out in West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). The event took place on Thursday (08/01/2026) at the Main Building, Campus I of Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar).
The ceremony marked the handover of assistance from Tarumanagara Foundation to UKM Dharmayana Untar, which included financial support as well as learning facilities in the form of desks and chairs. The assistance will be used for the annual Metta Day Batch 31 program, which will be held in West Lombok, NTB. Metta Day is a social program consistently organized every year by UKM Dharmayana Untar as a form of community service.
The event was attended by the leadership of Tarumanagara Foundation, Head of the Institute for Student Affairs and Alumni of Untar, Tri Sutrisno, S.Si., M.Sc., as well as representatives of the management of UKM Dharmayana Untar.
Chairman of Tarumanagara Foundation, Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H., in his remarks, expressed the foundation’s commitment to supporting students’ humanitarian activities.
“We from Tarumanagara Foundation fully support activities like this carried out by Dharmayana Untar. I hope programs like this can continue from year to year,” he stated.
He added that the Metta Day program aligns with the values of social awareness and community service that continue to be fostered within the Tarumanagara environment.
The handover ceremony concluded with a group photo session as a symbol of collaboration between the foundation and students in encouraging social activities that create a positive impact on society.
Through this activity, Untar reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the development of students’ character to become caring, empathetic, and actively involved in humanitarian initiatives across various regions in Indonesia. (VA/YS)
