The Student Activity Unit of the Universitas Tarumanagara Choir (Paduan Suara Universitas Tarumanagara / UKM PSUT) held its Serenade for the 14th time on Friday, 28 November 2025, at Graha Swara, Campus I Universitas Tarumanagara.
Serenade is an annual recital event organized by PSUT, where participants—who demonstrate vocal abilities—are active members as well as alumni of PSUT. They first undergo approximately two months of vocal training, guided and prepared to perform on stage. Throughout the process, participants receive direct coaching and direction from Music Director Jason Ferdison.
The Serenade program is regularly held twice a year, not only during the Christmas season. Each edition presents a different concept and character according to the theme being carried.
This year, Serenade adopted a “Christmas” theme, featuring a repertoire of Sacred Songs, festive-themed Musical Theatre pieces, and Popular Songs that reflect the Christmas atmosphere.
Chairperson of Serenade 2025, Laura Angellina, expressed her hope for the event. “Serenade can be a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable space for every singer to express themselves.”
“We hope that through Serenade, the vocal abilities of members continue to improve, their confidence in performing on stage keeps growing, and this recital can become a stepping stone for the future journey of PSUT,” Laura added. (VC/YS)
