iNews Campus Connect (ICC) in collaboration with Universitas Tarumanagara continued its program on the second day, Thursday (27/11/2025), at Campus I Untar. Students from various faculties attended the event in large numbers at the auditorium, along with participants from other universities.
On the second day, ICC hosted two seminar sessions titled GENZONETALKS and RAKYAT BERSUARA. Both sessions were designed to broaden students’ understanding of the creative industry and the dynamics of democracy in the digital era.
The first session, GENZONETALKS, carried the theme “Turning Fashion Creativity into Sustainable Business” and was moderated by Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Okezone, Bernadheta Ginting. The talk show featured practitioners and local business figures in the fashion industry, including Angkie Yudhistia as Founder of Inclusive Brand and Istafiana Candarini as Owner and Director of Kami Idea. Both shared their experiences in building fashion businesses that focus not only on aesthetics but also on sustainability and inclusion.
“The creative industry today does not only demand attractive works, but also a commitment to sustainability so that businesses can survive,” Angkie said during her presentation to participants. In line with this, Istafiana added, “Collaboration, research, and understanding consumers are key to developing local products that have long-term competitiveness.”
The second session, RAKYAT BERSUARA, discussed the theme “Digital Democracy, Thinking Critically Without Drama.” The dialogue presented perspectives from various professions, including political economist Ichsanuddin Noorsy, content creator Fathian Pujakesum, comedian Soleh Solihun, and Vice Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Stella Christie. The session was moderated by Editor-in-Chief of iNews, Aiman Witjaksono.
Stella Christie highlighted the role of the younger generation, stating, “Students have a strategic position in maintaining the quality of digital democracy through responsible and data-driven participation.”
In addition to the seminars, ICC also featured an information session on international scholarships in collaboration with UNSW Sydney. The presentation on study opportunities and scholarships was delivered by Country Director–Indonesia of UNSW Sydney, Nur Fatmah Syarbini, who explained various scholarship schemes and academic preparations for students interested in pursuing international education.
Through a series of sessions combining knowledge, inspiration, and critical perspectives, the second day of ICC provided a multidisciplinary learning space for participants. The event represents a form of collaboration that enriches student experience and expands access to academic, professional, and networking opportunities. (VC/YS)
