The Interior Design Study Program of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (FSRD) Untar once again presented its annual student exhibition, “INTERPOSE.” This year’s exhibition was held over four days, from August 28–31, 2025, at South Great Hall, Pos Bloc, Pasar Baru, Central Jakarta, under the subtheme “IRRADIANCE.”
The event was officially opened by Dean of FSRD Untar, Dr. Kurnia Setiawan, S.Sn., M.Hum., with the support of Head of the Undergraduate Interior Design Study Program, Dr. Maitri Widya Mutiara, S.Ds., M.M. The exhibition was led by Organizing Committee Chair, Dastine Hariansen Yang.
IRRADIANCE featured 30 outstanding final projects created by Untar Interior Design students, highlighting their creativity, innovation, and boldness in presenting ideas within the field of interior design.
Beyond showcasing visual works, INTERPOSE: IRRADIANCE also offered a series of interactive activities. Visitors had the opportunity to participate in daily workshops covering various themes, including batik-making, painting, bag crafting, and doll design. In addition, free seminars were held with design practitioners such as Eko Priharseno (AEDI Design Bureau) and Rudy Dodo (Trivium Design), as well as Untar Design alumni Azka Zukhrufa, Sharlene Dinata, Mondrich Syarief (Studio Piu), and Novita Fransiska (NVA Interior).
One of the alumni, Novita Fransiska, expressed her appreciation for Untar. “Untar has played a significant role because it encourages students to learn proactively, motivates them, and equips them with knowledge aimed at helping them continue to grow and progress,” she said.
Similarly, Azka Zukhrufa emphasized the importance of exploration in the creative process. “Exploration is essential in the world of design. Never stop looking for references, whether from local or global works. By doing so, we can drive innovation, celebrate culture, and build collaboration,” she stated.
Through this exhibition, the Interior Design Study Program of Untar reaffirmed its commitment to creating a creative platform that not only showcases student works but also brings together students, professionals, and the wider community to exchange ideas, broaden perspectives, and inspire the advancement of interior design in Indonesia.
