Untar has strengthened its ties with the industry through a strategic partnership with PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. The collaboration was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by Chairman of the Tarumanagara Foundation Board, Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H., on Tuesday (12/8/2025) at the Executive Lounge, Campus I Untar.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by Rector of Untar, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M.; Vice Rector Assoc. Prof. Sri Tiatri, S.Psi., M.Si., Ph.D., Psikolog; and the deans of the faculties. Representing BRI, Regional 8 CEO Moch. Suratin and members of the management team were also in attendance. The agreement includes internship opportunities for students as well as support for further education, particularly at the master’s and doctoral levels.
Ariawan emphasized that the partnership represents a positive step toward strengthening the connection between higher education and industry. “We hope this collaboration continues to grow and provides tangible benefits for both parties,” he said.
Moch. Suratin added that the agreement covers opportunities for BRI employees to pursue master’s and doctoral studies, as well as internship placements for Untar final-year students across BRI offices throughout Indonesia, particularly within the Regional 8 network.
Through this collaboration, Untar students will have the opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the banking industry, while BRI will benefit from access to a pool of qualified talent. Both parties expressed hope that this synergy would mark the beginning of a sustainable partnership that enhances educational quality and strengthens graduates’ competitiveness.
