Best Works of Untar Architecture Students Showcased at Public Expose 8.39

The Undergraduate Architecture Study Program at Untar officially opened Public Expose 8.39 on Monday (11/8/2025) at Galeri Lawang, Building L, Campus I Untar. This annual exhibition showcases 20 of the best final projects produced by students during the 2024–2025 Even Semester, featuring the theme “Regenerative Architecture.”

The event was attended by Rector of Untar, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M.; Dean of the Faculty of Engineering (FT) Untar, Ir. Harto Tanujaya, S.T., M.T., Ph.D.; Head of the Undergraduate Architecture Study Program, Maria Veronica Gandha, S.T., M.Arch.; faculty members; and architecture students.

This year’s judging panel consisted of architecture professionals, including Chairman of the Jakarta Chapter of the Indonesian Institute of Architects (IAI) Ar. Teguh Arianto, IAI and Co-Founder Modernspace Ar. Yanto Effendi, S.T., IAI.

In his remarks, the Rector expressed his hope that the event would inspire students to continue producing creative and innovative architectural works.

“I hope that the 20 outstanding works exhibited today by students of the Untar Architecture Study Program will have a positive impact on the surrounding environment,” he said.

The Head of the Undergraduate Architecture Study Program emphasized that although only a few projects would receive awards, all students deserved recognition for their hard work and achievements.

“Never be satisfied too quickly and continue creating. After graduation, become architects who contribute positively to the industry, the environment, and society,” she said.

Sharing a similar message, Ar. Teguh Arianto reminded students that becoming an architect is a lifelong journey.

“Continue learning and creating. Produce works that are inclusive and responsible toward both the environment and society,” he said.

Public Expose 8.39 reflects the commitment of Untar’s Undergraduate Architecture Study Program to providing a platform for architectural dialogue and innovation that not only minimizes environmental impact but also actively contributes to the restoration and regeneration of nature.
