Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology (FTI) Untar, Prof. Dr. Ir. Dyah Erny Herwindiati, M.Si., was one of the keynote speakers at the 3rd International Summit on Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering, held on 21–23 July 2025 in Frankfurt, Germany.

She presented her research entitled “Preprocessing on Machine Learning Model for Mapping Land Cover” at the international conference, which brought together academics, researchers, and practitioners from various countries. The presentation highlighted the findings of a year-long study on land cover mapping in Jakarta and seven surrounding buffer regions.

The research utilized remote sensing data from the Landsat 8 satellite, processed through machine learning techniques. The results demonstrated the capability to estimate the presence of water bodies in subdistricts traversed by the Ciliwung River.

The conference served as a platform for exchanging ideas, fostering collaboration, and developing innovative solutions in the fields of civil, structural, and environmental engineering. Prof. Dyah Erny Herwindiati’s participation further underscored Untar’s active role in advancing research at the global level. (VC/YS)
