FK Untar Graduates New Doctors, Ready to Dedicate Themselves to Indonesia’s Public Health

The Faculty of Medicine (FK) of Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar) has once again graduated 20 new doctors who are ready to dedicate themselves to the healthcare field. During the 144th Doctoral Inauguration and the 85th Graduation Ceremony of Untar, held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at the Auditorium of Building J, 5th Floor, Campus I Untar, the graduates were officially sworn in and took their oath.

Out of the 20 doctors inaugurated, 16 are women and 4 are men. Three graduates received the “With Honors” distinction, while 17 others earned the “Very Satisfactory” distinction. With this new batch of graduates, FK Untar has now produced a total of 5,104 doctors.

 

Attended by Various Academic and Medical Figures

The event was attended by various prominent figures, including the Secretary of the Tarumanagara Foundation Management, Vedrych J. Kusnanto, S.Kom., M.M., Untar’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., the Dean of FK Untar, Dr. dr. Noer Saelan Tadjudin, Sp.KJ., as well as academics and representatives from Royal Taruma Hospital and Sumber Waras Hospital. Religious leaders who administered the oath to the new doctors, along with the graduates’ families and parents, were also present.

In his speech, Untar’s Rector, Prof. Amad Sudiro, emphasized the importance of professionalism in practicing the medical profession.

“I hope that the new doctors from FK Untar will uphold the good name of their alma mater and practice their profession professionally. Congratulations to all the new doctors who are officially inaugurated today. May you have a positive impact on the people of Indonesia, especially in the healthcare sector. Wishing you all continued success.”

In line with that, the Secretary of the Tarumanagara Foundation Management, Vedrych J. Kusnanto, shared an inspirational message with the graduates.

“On behalf of Prof. Ariawan, the Chairman of the Tarumanagara Foundation Management, I would like to congratulate all the new doctors. Your journey does not end here. Many challenges lie ahead, but view these challenges as opportunities to learn and grow. Pursue your vision, for by doing so, you will continue to grow toward a better direction.”

Message from the Graduate Representative

On behalf of the new doctors, Dr. Bryan Anggareti Mahandra emphasized that this achievement is not only a personal success but also the result of the support from many individuals.

“I would like to express my gratitude to our parents, families, and all those who have supported us throughout our educational journey, allowing us to take the doctor’s oath today. This oath is not just a symbolic ritual; it is a great commitment that I must uphold throughout my career.”

He also emphasized the importance of professionalism and dedication in the medical profession.

“This profession is not just a job, but a calling to contribute the best to society. Therefore, I will continue to hone my knowledge and skills and carry out this responsibility with full dedication.”

Pride of Parents and Hopes for the Future

In a interview session, one of the parents of a new doctor, Dr. Dra. Maria Susila Sumartiningsih, M.Pd., M.Sc., Ph.D., FIHFAA, expressed her pride and appreciation for FK Untar.

“As a parent, I am proud that my daughter was able to pursue her education at Untar, an institution with excellent accreditation and a quality education system. I am confident that Dr. Beatta will be a doctor who not only has a calling to serve but is also humble. I hope FK Untar continues to progress and becomes a blessing for Indonesia and the world.”
