Entrepreneurial activities require specific skills and competencies that can sometimes be more difficult for persons with disabilities to acquire and develop. Nevertheless, persons with disabilities have equal rights to employment opportunities provided by both the government and private sectors without discrimination.
One of the key challenges in entrepreneurship is maintaining business sustainability, which requires a strong entrepreneurial commitment from business owners.
These findings were presented by Mei Ie during the Open Examination of the Doctor of Management Science (DIM) Program at Untar on Friday (21/6) at the Auditorium of Campus I Untar. Mei Ie officially earned the Doctor of Management Science degree through her dissertation entitled “The Influence of Competence and Personality Characteristics on the Entrepreneurial Commitment of Persons with Disabilities, with Capital Assistance as a Moderating Variable in Central Java Province.”
“The results of this study provide empirical evidence regarding the influence of competence and capital assistance among persons with disabilities,” she explained.
During the open examination, Mei Ie, under the supervision of Principal Promoter Prof. Dr. Haris Maupa, S.E., M.Si., earned the distinction of Very Satisfactory and became the seventh graduate of Untar’s Doctor of Management Science Program.
“I am grateful to Almighty God for allowing me to reach this moment. It has been a long journey filled with dedication and perseverance,” she said. (MS/YS/KJ)
