Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar) continues to expand students’ access to academic literature through a series of strategic initiatives. One of these efforts was an online information session on the services of the National Library of Indonesia (Perpusnas), held on Thursday (30/7/2026), as part of the collaboration between the two institutions to support the quality of learning and research.
The session introduced Untar students to a wide range of library services that can be utilized in searching for scholarly references. Access to these resources is expected to help students obtain broader and more credible academic literature for coursework as well as research projects.
Through the partnership with Perpusnas, the Untar academic community can access various services, including literature collections, rare collections, information retrieval services, and a wide range of digital resources. These services include Khastara, iPusnas, BintangPusnas Edu, and Indonesia OneSearch, enabling students and faculty members to access collections from libraries, museums, archives, and numerous electronic resources from institutions across Indonesia through a single search platform.
The collaboration reflects Untar’s commitment to strengthening a digital literacy-based academic ecosystem. Easier access to high-quality references is expected to enhance students’ ability to produce scholarly work while supporting the university’s implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi): education, research, and community service.
During the session, Perpusnas also introduced a number of technology-driven library development programs aimed at expanding public access to knowledge and fostering a stronger culture of literacy. For Untar, the utilization of these services represents a strategic step toward providing more accessible learning resources for the academic community while contributing to the continuous improvement of educational quality across the university.
