A total of 90 graduates from the Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Tarumanagara (FK Untar) took the physician’s oath and officially joined Indonesia’s medical workforce. As medical science continues to advance and healthcare needs become increasingly complex, the newly inaugurated doctors are expected not only to demonstrate strong clinical competence but also to uphold the values of humanity in every aspect of patient care.
This message underscored the 150th Inauguration Ceremony of New Doctors of FK Untar and the 88th Graduation Ceremony of Untar, held at Untar Campus I on Wednesday (29/7/2026). Guided by the spirit of Dedicatio Pro Humanitate—dedication to humanity—the ceremony marked the beginning of the graduates’ professional responsibilities as physicians.

Untar Rector Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M. emphasized that today’s healthcare challenges extend beyond the emergence of new diseases and the growing demand for medical services. Rapid advancements in science and technology are also transforming medical practice, making continuous professional development essential throughout a physician’s career.
“Public trust in doctors is built not only through competence but also through empathy and integrity. Let Untar’s values serve as your compass in every step of your service as physicians,” he said.
According to the Rector, academic excellence must always be accompanied by integrity and compassion. These values, he noted, are essential foundations for FK Untar graduates in providing professional healthcare while maintaining a patient-centered and humanitarian approach.
Echoing this message, Secretary of the Tarumanagara Foundation Board Vedrych J. Kusnanto, S.Kom., M.M., reminded the graduates that the medical profession requires lifelong learning. The rapid advancement of healthcare technology, including the use of artificial intelligence and medical innovations, demands that physicians continuously develop their knowledge and skills.
“I hope you will continue to nurture your curiosity, maintain your passion for learning, and keep growing alongside the changing times so that you can provide even better healthcare services to the community,” he said.
The inauguration ceremony also featured the presentation of the Code of Medical Ethics as a moral guide for professional practice, followed by the awarding of alumni pins by the Keluarga Alumni Medis Tarumanagara (KAMT).
The event concluded with an emotional tribute as the newly inaugurated doctors presented flowers to their parents. The gesture symbolized gratitude for the prayers, unwavering support, and sacrifices of their families throughout their journey to becoming physicians and embarking on a lifelong commitment to serving society.
