Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., ASEAN Eng. along with Untar delegation visited Benneth University and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, Monday (4/12).
This visit is part of a collaborative effort to create partnerships and explore market potential in India, especially in research related to rattan furniture design.
The Rector said that Untar not only plays an active role in the development of Indonesia, but is also committed to taking a role in the global context.
“Untar must be able to have a wider impact and play a significant role at the global level,” concluded the Rector.
For more than six decades, Untar has established collaborations with various educational institutions, industries, and government agencies. This step is expected to advance the field of education and research at the international level, and help prepare Untar students to compete globally after graduation.
“We are optimistic that this collaboration will not only be a starting point, but can also be implemented immediately to provide concrete benefits,” added the Rector.
Also attending the visit was Faculty of Arts & Design Lecturer Dr. Drs. Eddy Supriyatna Marizar, M. Hum., M.M. (DP/AW/KJ)
