Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., A.E. visited MNC Studio, Jakarta, Tuesday (31/10). The Rector had the opportunity to be a guest speaker for the Trijaya Hot Topik Petang segment broadcast on Radio 104.6 Trijaya FM.
In his session, the Rector said that Untar has a tagline “Untar for Indonesia” during its 60th anniversary. On the 64th anniversary which falls on October 1, 2023, the tagline was added “Untar for the World”.
“From the theme, it is hoped that Untar can play a role for Indonesia, the nation and state, the community, and continue to contribute more broadly so that Untar’s works can go global,” said the Rector.
The Rector revealed the difference between Untar and other universities. He said that Untar was established with noble values, then developed into the values of Integrity, Professionalism, and Entrepreneurship (IPE).
Furthermore, the Rector revealed that Untar focuses on entrepreneurial development. Each study program is required to have courses that focus on entrepreneurship, according to their respective fields.
The learning process is packaged so that students have the ability to do business, build their own business, and think about becoming an entrepreneur who can apply innovation and creativity to help society.
According to the Rector, currently there are approximately 3,000 students who already have businesses during their studies.
“Hopefully, students studying at Untar can realize their dream of becoming an entrepreneur. More and more Untar alumni can build businesses, create new businesses, and create job opportunities for many people,” said the Rector.
On the same occasion, the Rector met with iNews TV Deputy News External Geong Rusdianto. The Rector hopes that Untar and MNC Group can collaborate in the form of popular writing training for lecturers, internship programs, and others.
Geong especially appreciated Untar for this visit. Hopefully, collaboration and friendship can continue to be improved.
