Untar held the National Seminar on Research and Community Service (Senapenmas) 2023 with the theme “Implementation of Sustainable Research and Community Service Results to Realize Sustainable Development Goals 2030” on Thursday (5/10) at Campus I Untar.
Senapenmas 2023 was organized together with Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) and Universitas Katolik Indonesia Atma Jaya as co-hosts. Meanwhile, Maranatha University Bandung became the media partner.
The Head of Untar’s Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM), Ir. Jap Tji Beng, M.M.S.I., M.Psi., Ph.D., P.E., M.ASCE hopes that Senapenmas can improve the quality of research and community service in Indonesia.
“Through publications in various scientific media at Untar, as well as journals at the Indonesian Catholic University (Unika) Atma Jaya Jakarta and Maranatha Christian University Bandung, it is expected to have a positive impact to reach more parties,” said Jap Tji Beng.
Meanwhile, the Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., A.E. emphasized the importance of alignment with SDGs in every academic and research activity.
He said collaboration across universities is one of the keys to achieving sustainable development targets. The Rector said Senapenmas could encourage increased research activities and international publications related to SDGs.
Head of Data and Information Center of Jakarta Industry Trade Cooperative Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) Office Juremi, S.T., M.E., representing PPKUKM Office Head Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo, discussed the role of Jakarta Entrepreneur platform in realizing SDGs.
Juremi emphasized the importance of collaboration from all platforms with various stakeholders to accelerate the achievement of SDGs targets.
On the other hand, Chairman of the Tarumanagara Foundation Board Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H. discussed the implementation of research and community service for lecturers to realize SDGs 2023.
“With a holistic approach, the active involvement of lecturers is needed to encourage innovation and real contribution to sustainable development,” said Ariawan.

Sih Yuliana Wahyuningtyas, S.H., M.Hum., Head of LPPM Maranatha Christian University Bandung Dr. Meity, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA, Dean of Faculty of Engineering Maranatha Christian University Dr. Yosafat Aji Pranata, S.T., M.T., as well as heads of institutions, heads of offices, lecturers, and students of Untar.
