Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar) and Telkom University exchanged experiences in managing distance learning (Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh, or PJJ), ranging from curriculum development to the use of educational technology. The exchange formed part of Untar’s efforts to develop flexible learning approaches that align with advances in educational technology.
The visit was led by Untar Rector Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., accompanied by Vice Rector Assoc. Prof. Sri Tiatri, S.Psi., M.Si., Ph.D., Psikolog, and the Untar Assessment Team at the Telkom University Campus in Bandung Regency, West Java, on Monday (03/08/2026).
During the meeting, Telkom University was represented by Dean of the Faculty of Informatics Dr. Kemas Muslim Lhaksmana, S.T., M.ISD. The two universities discussed various aspects of distance learning management, including curriculum evaluation and development, as well as the use of learning management systems (LMS) as supporting infrastructure for the learning process.
Telkom University also shared its experience in utilizing LMS to support learning, particularly in the field of information technology. The experience provided valuable insights for Untar in developing learning approaches that are practical, flexible, and relevant to students’ needs.
The Untar Rector expressed his appreciation to Telkom University for sharing its experience in managing distance learning. According to him, the exchange of experiences between higher education institutions can provide valuable input for the development of technology-based learning.
The meeting also opened opportunities for further collaboration between Untar and Telkom University, particularly in learning innovation and the utilization of educational technology. (CJ/YS)
