The best works of Untar’s Faculty of Arts and Design (FSRD) students were displayed in an exhibition called Interpose 2023: Solace. The works of the Interior Design Study Program (Prodi) students were exhibited at Emiria Soenassa Gallery, Taman Ismail Marzuki in mid-June.
This annual event is a moment of appreciation as well as a forum for students to showcase their works which are the final project in the form of interior design results for public spaces.
In this event, a design talk show was also held by inviting Kelvin Thengono from Kthengono Design Studio and Arthur Elmund from Seniman Ruang. In addition to inviting speakers from the industry, on this occasion a talk show was also held by inviting alumni as well as exhibitors in the Interpose: Solace exhibition, including Canisha Chrystella and Michella Angelina.
In addition, there were also workshops with themes including Interior Watercolor by Kris Wardhana and Pottery Painting by Linda Etha.
Untar Interior Design Study Program also collaborated with TEKA and Propan to conduct Wood Painting workshop with Interior Design Study Program lecturer M. Nashir Setiawan as the instructor.
As a closing, Solid Perfume Making workshop together with Atsiri at Sarinah.
Dean of FSRD Dr. Kurnia Setiawan, S.Sn., M.Hum. stated that this activity was a breakthrough because it was held post-Covid and off campus.
“This is the first time we have organized offline, previously three times online or on campus. I hope this event can be sustainable and even better in the future,” he said.
Interpose 2023: Solace can be a place to show the results of student creativity and give appreciation for the work they produce. This activity is also a proof of learning in the field of interior design organized by Untar and can be an inspiration for design lovers throughout Indonesia. (SC/YS/AW)
