Untar and INKINDO (National Association of Indonesian Consultants) organized the National Seminar on Long Span Bridge at Untar Auditorium, Tuesday (23/5).

Dean of Faculty of Engineering of Untar Harto Tanujaya, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. in the opening hoped that this seminar would be an inspiration, ideas, and solutions to face infrastructure challenges in the future.

According to him, this seminar is a forum to share materials on bridge planning, implementation, and maintenance, as well as construction service regulations that are important for an engineer to know.

Director General of Highways of the Ministry of PUPR Dr. Ir. Hedy Rahadian, M.Sc. said the national seminar could strengthen synergy between parties to accelerate the construction of Long Span Bridges.

“We invite all businesses to become an important foundation for a more prosperous future of Indonesia,” Dr. Hedy said.

The Long Span Bridge is a land transportation infrastructure that facilitates logistics transportation, opens isolated areas, and connects transportation access in general. Bridge construction has a direct impact on Indonesia’s economic and civil growth.
