Students from SMAK Penabur Bogor had the opportunity to gain a closer look at university life through a Campus Visit program at Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar) Campus I in Jakarta on Wednesday (10/06/2026). The activity served as a platform for students to gain insights into higher education while helping them prepare for future academic choices.

During the visit, students were introduced to Untar’s various faculties, study programs, and campus facilities. They also had the opportunity to engage directly with lecturers and members of the academic community to learn more about the university learning experience.

Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Cooperation at Untar Assoc. Prof. Sri Tiatri, S.Psi., M.Si., Ph.D., Psikolog, emphasized the important role of higher education in helping young people develop their potential and prepare for future challenges.

“Through the support of our lecturers, facilities, and various partnerships, Untar strives to help students develop their full potential and prepare themselves for a rapidly evolving world,” she said.

The program continued with a presentation by Untung Subroto, a lecturer from Untar’s Faculty of Psychology. He encouraged students to understand the importance of identifying their interests, personal values, and strengths before deciding on a field of study or career path.

According to him, choosing a study program should not be based solely on trends or external influences. A clear understanding of one’s interests and abilities can help students engage in the learning process more effectively and sustainably.

Through interactive discussions and reflective activities, participants were invited to explore their interests and potential. The session was lively, with students actively asking questions and sharing their perspectives.

One participant, Elvira Clara Josephine Rumengan, said that she gained valuable new insights into university life. She noted that the session helped students begin considering study options that align with their interests and capabilities.

A similar impression was shared by Shallom Paskah Theresya Simatupang, who felt that the program not only provided information about higher education but also encouraged students to better understand their own potential as preparation for future planning.

In addition to attending the presentations, participants joined a campus tour covering Untar’s eight faculties. They were able to experience the academic atmosphere firsthand and visit various campus facilities, including T-Space, the Auditorium, Untar Residence (Ures), and the Tarumanagara Knowledge Center (TKC).

Through this activity, students gained direct exposure to campus life and valuable insights that can support them in making informed educational decisions after graduating from high school.
