Students from the Undergraduate Accounting Study Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Untar, united under the GreenForest Team, achieved an impressive accomplishment by securing second place in the prestigious Accounting Competition National (ACTION) 2025. The competition was organized by Bhayangkara University Jakarta on 24 July 2025.
The event brought together top teams from universities across Indonesia and challenged participants to demonstrate their analytical skills, quick thinking, and accuracy in solving accounting cases in real time. Amid the dynamic and highly competitive atmosphere, the GreenForest Team consistently showcased strong collaboration and outstanding performance from the preliminary rounds through to the final stage.
“It still feels unreal that we made it this far because all of the participants were exceptional. We are grateful and happy because this achievement proves that hard work and teamwork truly pay off,” said Steven, representing the team.
Thorough preparation played a crucial role in their success. The GreenForest Team carefully studied the competition materials, managed their study schedules effectively, and maintained a balance between academic preparation and physical well-being.
“We organized our time wisely, including taking breaks to stay fresh. Team coordination went smoothly, which made the entire process much more comfortable,” Nicholas added.
The three students are no strangers to competitions. Having actively participated in similar contests since the beginning of their university studies, they also received strong support from the Accounting Study Program at FEB Untar, ranging from training facilities to direct recognition for their achievements.
“We felt confident because most of the competition materials had already been covered in our classes. In addition, the Study Program was very supportive, even providing practice facilities and publicly recognizing our achievement through announcements to our cohort,” explained Metio.
Metio also shared a message of encouragement for fellow students:
“To all Untarians, especially FEB students—don’t hesitate to participate in competitions! Let’s fill the Undergraduate Accounting Study Program at FEB Untar with trophies!”
Through this achievement, FEB Untar continues to demonstrate its commitment to nurturing students who excel not only academically but also in competitive environments, preparing them to contribute actively to the ever-evolving world of knowledge and professional practice.
