Untar reaffirmed its commitment to environmental preservation and sustainable development through active participation in a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative in collaboration with the Tomang Sub-district, West Jakarta. This activity was part of a series of programs including ProKlim (Climate Village Program), Green Alley, and Urban Farming, held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, in the RW 16 area of Tomang Sub-district, specifically on Jl. Tanjung Gedong RT 01, 02, and 05.

The event was attended by officials from the Tomang Sub-district and Grogol Petamburan District, local RT/RW leaders, as well as several institutional partners who have consistently supported environmental preservation programs, including representatives from Untar, Binus University, and Trisakti University.

The series of activities began with welcoming remarks from community leaders and representatives of partner institutions. The highlight of the event was a symbolic handover ceremony, in which each institution presented a potted plant to the Head of the Tomang Sub-district and a representative of RW 16. This gesture served as a tangible symbol of cross-sector collaboration in supporting urban greening efforts.

The Head of Tomang Sub-district, Mansur, S.E., M.Ak., expressed his appreciation for the support from various parties. “We are organizing this area not only to green the Tomang Sub-district but also as a concrete contribution to creating a more beautiful and greener Jakarta. I hope this kind of collaboration can continue in the future,” he stated.

As an educational institution located in the Tomang Sub-district, Untar plays an active role by providing green plants to help beautify the local environment and strengthen the green ecosystem in the area. This initiative aligns with Untar’s values in building a sustainable future—not only through education, but also through concrete actions that have a direct impact on the community.

Through this activity, all parties involved reaffirmed their shared commitment to making RW 16 a model of collaboration between the government, the community, and educational institutions in preserving the environment in the heart of the city. As part of this community, Untar expressed its readiness to continue contributing toward the realization of a greener and more sustainable urban life.
