In the spirit of strengthening intergenerational ties, the Tarumanagara Medical Alumni Family (KAMT) in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine, Tarumanagara University (FK Untar), organized a Fun Walk on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at the National Monument (Monas) area in Central Jakarta.

The event was attended by alumni, current FK Untar students, as well as faculty members and staff. It marked a special moment as it was held again after the Covid-19 pandemic, serving as a space for intergenerational gathering within the FK Untar community.

The Fun Walk also served as a tangible form of alumni dedication to their alma mater, reflecting their care and active involvement in fostering unity and supporting the continuous development of FK Untar.

On this occasion, the Rector of Tarumanagara University, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., was also present and delivered a speech.

“Activities like this are not only beneficial for physical health but also strengthen intergenerational relationships within FK Untar. We hope positive initiatives like this will continue,” said Prof. Amad.

Dean of FK Untar, Dr. dr. Noer Saelan Tadjudin, Sp.KJ., also welcomed the successful organization of the event.

“This Fun Walk is not just a healthy walk, but also a symbol that we—alumni, students, and lecturers—are part of one big supportive family. Hopefully, this activity can become a regular agenda that strengthens our bonds,” he expressed.

In his speech, the event’s chief coordinator, Dr. Johan, shared the reasons behind organizing the event and the choice of its motto:

“We organized this event because we realize that we need one another. That’s why we chose the motto ‘Together We Can Do Much’ to embody the spirit of unity and collaboration among alumni, students, and the faculty. Through this event, we aim to build closer, more supportive, and sustainable relationships,” he said.

Dr. Johan also added that activities like this contribute positively to the faculty’s accreditation process, as they demonstrate that FK Untar alumni remain actively involved and maintain strong ties with the faculty—an aspect that adds value in institutional assessments. (VC/YS)
