Untar held a farewell event for 34 international students who have undergone a semester-long student exchange program at Untar. The farewell was held by Untar Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan M.T., M.M., I.P.U., ASEAN Eng. on Friday (8/12) at Untar Campus I.
For one semester, 30 students from Southwest University of Political Science & Law China and four students from Heilbronn University Germany studied at Faculty of Law and Faculty of Economics and Business.
Not only following the courses in accordance with their chosen study programs, the international students also learned basic Indonesian language, Indonesian culture, and collaborated with other Untar students.
Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Dr. Sawidji Widoatmodjo, S.E., M.M., M.B.A. hopes that the international students will share their stories and experiences at Untar and in Indonesia when they return to their home countries.
“By sharing with each other, it is hoped that the spirit of collaboration between countries can continue to grow and create a more global and diverse educational environment,” said Sawidji.
On the other hand, the Rector hopes that students can continue to maintain relationships and collaborate in various ways. According to him, collaboration between countries and international relations are important in this digital era.
Students from both universities said they enjoyed their time in Indonesia. Southwest University of Political Science & Law student Yuan Yuan said she gained invaluable experience, friendship and insight.
“Both Untar and Jakarta will always have a special place in our hearts,” continued Lutz, a student from Heilbronn University.
