Untar provided direct healthcare services to residents of Semanan Urban Village through a free medical treatment program held at the Semanan Urban Village Office, West Jakarta, on Saturday (25/04/2026). The activity reflected the university’s commitment to reaching the community through healthcare services based on cross-disciplinary collaboration.
The event was officially opened by Rector of Untar, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., who emphasized that community service is an essential part of the role of higher education institutions in addressing real societal needs.
“This collaboration between Semanan Urban Village and the Faculties of Medicine and Psychology of Untar is expected to provide tangible benefits for the community. Residents showed strong enthusiasm by participating in the free medical check-up services, which included blood tests, cholesterol screenings, and other general health examinations. In addition to medical services, the event also featured group exercise activities and a healthy anti-anemia cooking competition as part of family nutrition education.
The activity involved around 50 students from the Faculty of Medicine, 12 students from the Faculty of Psychology, and one student from the Faculty of Information Technology, supported by eight doctors and four psychologists. Beyond healthcare services, the activity also formed part of a collaborative research initiative between Untar and industry partner Dex Wellness.
During the free medical treatment program, Untar also strengthened institutional cooperation through the signing of an Implementation Agreement between the Faculties of Medicine and Psychology with Semanan Urban Village. The agreement serves as a foundation for developing sustainable programs in public health, education, and community service.
In addition, the collaboration involved industry partner Dex Wellness, which supported the development of research and community-based health programs. Through this initiative, Untar hopes the established synergy can continue to expand and be implemented sustainably, creating tangible impacts on public health and community welfare while strengthening the implementation of the tridharma of higher education within society.
