Universitas Tarumanagara held a program titled “Staff Pinnacle Programme: Jakarta Leadership Immersion” as part of its efforts to explore broader collaboration opportunities with Ngee Ann Polytechnic. The three-day program took place from March 25–28, 2026, at Untar Campus I.

Organized by the Tarumanagara Foundation through Tarumanagara Enterprise (TE), the program served as a platform to strengthen relations and open new collaboration opportunities between the two higher education institutions.

In addition to reinforcing institutional ties, the meeting aimed to further develop existing student exchange and internship programs while expanding opportunities for future cooperation.

The program series also included company visits to several corporate offices as part of efforts to provide participants with practical insights into the industrial sector.

On the same occasion, one of the delegates from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Agustin, Regional Head of the Centre for Southeast Asia, explained that industry partners could utilize facilities owned by educational institutions for research, testing, development, and pilot project training without having to make substantial independent capital investments, particularly in Singapore, where investment costs are relatively high.

Furthermore, he noted that beyond student and internship programs, the collaboration also covers workforce development through Continuing Education and Training (CET) programs. “This program supports companies in upgrading and renewing workforce skills in various areas, including cybersecurity, data analytics, and human-centered design,” he stated.

Rector of Universitas Tarumanagara, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., viewed the initiative positively, describing it as part of the implementation of the university’s internationalization agenda, which has become one of Untar’s major strategic programs, while also opening wider opportunities for collaboration with global partners.

He expressed hope that the initiative would strengthen the existing partnership and encourage the development of joint programs in education, research, and human resource capacity building in the future.

Through the program, partnerships between higher education institutions and industry are expected to extend beyond student placements to include human resource development, consultancy services, and long-term capability building. The initiative is also expected to strengthen the synergy between Universitas Tarumanagara and Ngee Ann Polytechnic while opening broader collaboration opportunities in education, research, and industrial development.
