During the discussion, the Rector emphasized the importance of collaboration between universities and media organizations. He also expressed Untar’s interest in strengthening potential partnerships with Tempo in the future.
“Untar has experts from various academic disciplines who can serve as resource persons whenever Tempo requires expert insights,” he said.
Bagja welcomed Untar’s initiative to collaborate with the media, particularly Tempo, and appreciated the offer to provide expert sources for news coverage. “We highly appreciate the commitment to producing quality writing, especially contributions from credible experts,” he remarked.
Bagja explained that Tempo is currently developing Kolokium, a dedicated platform featuring content on science and environmental issues. Articles published in the section are based on journals, research findings, and scientific papers. Agoeng Wijaya, Managing Editor of Tempo’s Environment and Science Desk, invited Untar lecturers and students to contribute to Kolokium by sharing the results of their research.
“We believe that contributions from academics, particularly research relevant to environmental and scientific issues, can provide valuable information to readers through Kolokium,” said Agoeng.
The collaboration is considered important not only for disseminating research findings but also for evaluating and expanding the availability of credible information sources. Tempo is also prepared to help transform academic papers into articles that are more accessible and understandable to the general public.
