Collaboration between universities and mass media is vital in supporting higher education. Media is a strategic partner in disseminating information and educating the public.
This was revealed by the Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., ASEAN Eng. when visiting the media office of Jaringan Berita Nusantara Negeriku (JPNN), Tuesday (2/7).
The Rector of Untar revealed that Untar is committed to continue collaborating with various parties to contribute and produce positive work that is beneficial to the community. “Untar always instills the spirit of entrepreneurship to its students, in accordance with Untar’s vision as an entrepreneurial campus,” said the Rector.
JPNN Chief Editor AR Antoni highlighted the high demand for visual content. This is an opportunity for cooperation between Untar and JPNN in producing various visual contents, considering that Untar has a Visual Communication Design study program.
Furthermore, JPNN Marketing & Business Development Director Fais Nasruloh expressed his readiness to accept internship students from Untar in related fields. “We are very open to collaborating with campuses like Untar. This can help and facilitate students in producing useful portfolios in the future,” he explained.
This visit is an important step for Untar in establishing cooperation with the media. Both parties hope that this visit can be followed up and pave the way for closer collaboration and benefits for both institutions.
