Tarumanagara Space (T-Space), located on the first floor of Building M at Campus I Untar, was officially inaugurated on Thursday (13/6/2024). The inauguration was led by Chairman of the Tarumanagara Foundation Board Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H.
The launch of T-Space was part of the Tarumanagara Foundation’s 65th Anniversary celebration and marked the introduction of a new hub for innovation and creativity, reflecting the foundation’s commitment to supporting student development and potential.
On this occasion, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Harto Tanujaya, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. expressed his appreciation to the foundation for its support in providing a platform to showcase student works produced through the learning process.
The Faculty of Engineering presented a variety of innovative projects. The Architecture Program exhibited housing models designed to support teenagers experiencing depression.
The Civil Engineering Program showcased an award-winning structural building model from a national competition, as well as a miniature waste-treatment system capable of producing clean water from wastewater.
The Mechanical Engineering Program displayed an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) equipped with GPS technology, a sewing machine, an antivirus helmet, and a go-kart that will compete in an electric vehicle competition.
Meanwhile, the Electrical Engineering Program presented an earthquake warning device, the Urban and Regional Planning–Real Estate (PWK-RE) Program exhibited several models, and the Industrial Engineering Program displayed a range of design projects.
Chairman of the Tarumanagara Foundation Board Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H. emphasized the importance of revitalization efforts in providing comfortable and inspiring facilities for the academic community.
“Today, the Faculty of Engineering is presenting this exhibition. We hope that exhibitions like this can be organized seriously and continuously developed. Ideally, they could be held every week by different faculties and study programs, making this space a showcase for student achievements,” he said.
Through T-Space, the Tarumanagara Foundation hopes to continue supporting and expanding opportunities for students to innovate and consistently showcase their work to the wider community.
The event was attended by members of the Tarumanagara Foundation’s board and supervisory body, heads of institutions and offices, deans, lecturers, and Untar students. (DP/YS/KJ)
