March 18 every year is celebrated as Indonesian Architecture Day. It is not only a celebration for architects, but also a moment to appreciate the beauty, innovation, and cultural heritage embodied in every building structure.

Architecture has been an important part of Indonesia’s history since time immemorial. From ancient temples to magnificent modern buildings, each structure reflects the richness of culture and the skill of architects in designing spaces that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Indonesian Architecture Day provides an opportunity for us to delve into this history and appreciate the role of architecture in nation building.

Under the auspices of the Faculty of Engineering (FT), Untar’s Architecture Study Program (Prodi) has become a place for generations of young architects to explore their creativity and hone their skills in designing sustainable and functional environments.

With a curriculum based on theory and practice, the Architecture program not only trains students in the understanding of architectural concepts, but also encourages them to innovate and face future challenges.

Indonesian Architecture Day is also a moment to celebrate the collaboration between architects, engineers, government, and society in building a better environment. By exchanging ideas, technologies and best practices, we can create a sustainable and inclusive future.

One of the things that makes architecture so interesting is the diversity of its designs. From skyscrapers to traditional houses, each structure has its own story and characteristics.
