At the Indonesian Digital Talent Day 2023 held on Wednesday (20/12) at the Auditorium Campus I Untar, a panel discussion “Women in Tech” was presented. This discussion discussed gender equality in the field of technology with the theme “Indonesian Women are Digital Capable Towards Golden Indonesia 2045”.
In her speech, the Minister of Women Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA) RI I Gusti Ayu Bintang Darmawati, S.E., M.Si. highlighted the importance of gender equality in the world of Information Technology.
The woman who is more familiarly called Bintang said that maximizing the potential of women as digital talents in the world of Information Technology. In addition to creating a more inclusive environment, it can also stimulate sustainable economic growth.
Moderated by Professor of the Faculty of Information Technology Untar Prof. Lina, S.T., M.Kom., Ph.D., this discussion presented 5 panelists from government agencies and industry.
Secretary General of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology RI Ir. Suharti, M.A., Ph.D., Deputy for Gender Equality of the Ministry of PPPA RI Lenny N. Rosalin, S.E., M.Sc., M.Fin., and Deputy for Strategic Studies of the National Defense Institute RI Prof. Dr. Ir. Reni Mayerni, M.P. attended as panelists from government agencies.
Meanwhile, Director & Chief Enterprise Business & Corporate Affairs Officer of PT XL Axiata, Tbk. Yessie D. Yosetya and Project Director of Huawei Indonesia Ellenora Sirait was also present as panelists from the industry.
Indonesian Digital Talent Day 2023 is an event held in collaboration between Huawei and the Indonesian Presidential Staff Office and supported by Untar. This event is a forum for Indonesia’s young generation to work in the field of technology and create new digital talents in order to achieve the Golden Indonesia Vision 2045. (KJ/AW/KJ)
