Untar Supports SDGs through Tridarma of Higher Education

Untar once again held the 7th annual National Seminar Series (Serina) with the theme “Strategies to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals through the Utilization of Research and PKM Results in the Field of Natural Resources and Maritime” at Untar Campus I, Thursday (7/12).

Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., ASEAN Eng. in his speech said that Untar continuously develops and improves the publication of research results and community service.

It is hoped that research works can be realized from publications to continue and be more directly useful for the community.

Chairman of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) Ir. Jap Tji Beng, M.M.S.I., M.Psi., Ph.D., P.E., M.ASCE. expressed his appreciation for all the support from the academic community of Untar in participating, designing, and providing assistance in organizing Serina VII Untar 2023.

Serina VII presented the main speaker, Expert Staff for Social and Poverty Alleviation of the Ministry of National Development Planning of the Republic of Indonesia/National Development Planning Agency (Ministry of PPN/Bappenas) Pungkas Bahjuri Ali, S.Tp., M.S., Ph.D., represented by the Manager of Legal and Governance Development Pillar of the National Secretariat of SDGs of Bappenas Indriana Nugraheni, S.E., Akt., M.Sc.

Presenting “Strategies to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the Utilization of Research Results and Student Creativity Programs (PKM)”, Indriana explained that achieving SDGs is part of Indonesia’s development which is carried out inclusively and sustainably.

According to her, the SDGs need to be used as a reference for sustainable living, both on campus and in society. She argued that the implementation of Tridarma Perguruan Tinggi at Untar can support the achievement of SDGs in Indonesia.

Serina VII also presented the Head of Information System Bachelor Program of Untar Dr. Dedi Trisnawarman, S.Si., M.Kom. as a guest speaker. In a presentation entitled “Enterprise System and Internet of Things Solution to Support Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”, Dr. Dedi explained his research on the Enterprise System of Sempulur Jaya Barokah Village-Owned Enterprise (Bumdes).

Dr. Dedi said the SDGs are a stage to the Indonesia Emas 2045. The application can be in the form of research that encourages rural entrepreneurship through machine development and marketing.

In his research, Dr. Dedi collaborated with Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) lecturer Dr. Hetty Karunia Tunjungsari, S.E., M.Si. and Head of the Office of Cooperation and International Relations Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hugeng. Prof. Dr. Hugeng, S.T., M.T. (SMIEEE).

Serina VII presented 68 research articles and 172 community service articles from ten universities, including Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta, Universitas Katolik Indonesia Atma Jaya, Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta, UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar, Universitas Proklamasi 45, Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa Yogyakarta, Universitas Trisakti, Universitas Airlangga, Universitas Terbuka, and Untar.
