Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar) collaborated with the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) as part of the 2026 Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus bagi Mahasiswa Baru (PKKMB) at Untar Campus I, Jakarta, on Thursday (13/8/2026). The collaboration formed part of the orientation program’s efforts to equip new students with the knowledge and resilience needed to face various challenges, develop their potential, and contribute to society.
Head of BNN Komjen. Pol. Dr. (H.C.) Suyudi Ario Seto, S.I.K., S.H., M.Si., said that the future of young people can be jeopardized if they become involved in drug abuse. Therefore, students need to develop personal resilience to protect the opportunities they can pursue in the future.
“Endless possibilities can be achieved when young people are able to protect themselves from various threats that could jeopardize their future, including narcotics,” he said during the inaugural public lecture session of PKKMB Untar 2026.

In the public lecture titled “Drug-Free Young Generation: Safeguarding Endless Possibilities Through Resilience,” Suyudi also noted that Untar provides an educational environment that supports the development of future generations. According to him, the values of Integrity, Professionalism, and Entrepreneurship (IPE) can serve as a foundation for students as they develop themselves.
PKKMB Untar 2026 carries the theme “Embrace the Adventure of Endless Possibilities: Move Beyond Expectation.” The program is attended by new students from various faculties.
Untar Rector Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., emphasized that students should make integrity a guiding principle throughout their academic and professional journeys. In addition, professionalism, the courage to create innovative solutions, and the ability to collaborate are essential for opening up various opportunities.
Chairman of the Tarumanagara Foundation Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H., also encouraged new students to make the most of their university years to build networks and determine their future direction.
According to him, students need clear targets, a roadmap, strong networks, and a well-developed sense of purpose to achieve their goals.
In addition to BNN, Polri also provided guidance through Head of the Police College (STIK) of the Polri Education and Training Institute (Lemdiklat Polri), Dr. Eko Rudi Sudarto, S.I.K., M.Si. In a session titled “Facing the Future: Polri, Campus, and the Future Generation,” he explained Polri’s role in protecting and serving the community, maintaining public order, and creating a sense of security.

Eko also encouraged students to play an active role as members of society. If they encounter suspected misconduct within Polri, students can report it through the available oversight mechanisms.
“Students must continue to develop their potential, think critically, and make meaningful contributions to society,” he emphasized.
New students also received guidance from Untar Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Cooperation Assoc. Prof. Sri Tiatri, S.Psi., M.Si., Ph.D., Psikolog. During the session, students were encouraged to be proactive, independent, and responsible while gaining a deeper understanding of the role of higher education by implementing the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi).
