Faculty of Communication Science (Fikom) Untar held 2022/2023 odd semester judicium ceremony at Graha Swara Untar, Monday (30/1), led by Dean of Fikom Untar Dr. Riris Loisa, M.Si. and attended by Head of Bachelor of Communication Science Study Program Untar Sinta Paramita, S.I.P., M.A., Secretary of Bachelor of Communication Science Study Program Untar Wulan Purnamasari, S.I.Kom., M.Si., lecturers, and staffs.
Fikom Untar 2022/2023 odd semester judicium graduated 229 Bachelors of Communication. In this occasion, Head of Study Program presented graduation letters to all graduates.
Dean of the Faculty of Communication Science Dr. Riris Loisa, M.Si. in her speech expects alumni to always adapt to the dynamics of era development after obtaining their bachelor’s degree.
“All of you have to move forward with a strong mentality, face whatever challenges that come, surely by doing the best and what is right,” said Dean.
Meanwhile, lecturer of Fikom Untar Roswita Oktavianti, S.Sos., M.Si. representing lecturers and staffs of Fikom Untar, reminded graduates to maintain relations built.
“Keep in touch with your friends. Keep communication line open. Greet each other in chat or social media to be aware of each other’s career. Based on my personal experience, in the end, those friends could help your career and life,” she said.
On the same occasion, William Pradipta representing all graduates, said that there are a lot of things that has given him valuable lessons throughout his study, including the importance of studying at Fikom.
“I am very grateful to meet with lecturers and staffs of Fikom Untar that I have considered as my own family. I would also like to thank friends who have cheered each other,” said William who served as the President of BEM Fikom.
Fikom judicium has also concluded the best academic and nonacademic graduates. The best academic graduates are Shallen Agustine Pieter Thacia and Angelina Elni Yang with 3.98 GPA, Irvia Wijayanti with 3.97 GPA, and Wynne Caesar Oei Winka, Felix, and Zhafirah Sholilah with 3.96 GPA.
In the meantime, William Pradipta has been pointed as the best nonacademic graduate. Special award was also given to Evan Timothy Wijaya for his contribution in improving Fikom reputation.
The judicium was topped with a performance from Anandia Ekklesia Gabriella that sung a song in front of her friends.
A participant of judicium who is also one of the best academic graduates, Shallen Augustine, shared her experience at Fikom Untar. According to her, studying at Fikom has helped students to implement communication science, making them ready to enter professional world.
“Fikom Untar has taught us not only the theories, but also the implementation to enter the professional world. That presented us with opportunities to dig our potential,” she said.(DN/YS/AW)
