The Public Relations Office (Humas) of Untar welcomed a visit from the Office of Public Relations, Protocol, and Legal Affairs of Universitas Muhammadiyah Riau (Kamasprokum Umri) on Thursday (25/7/2024) in Meeting Room 1, Main Building, Campus I Untar.

The visit was conducted as part of a public relations benchmarking initiative. The Umri delegation consisted of Head of Kamasprokum Umri M. Anwar Siregar, S.H., and Kamasprokum Umri staff member Luthfi Agustian, S.I.Kom.

Head of Untar Public Relations Office (Kahumas) Dr. Dra. Paula Tjatoerwidya Anggarina, M.M. warmly welcomed the delegation from Kamasprokum Umri. “We are pleased to share our knowledge and experiences with Umri. We hope this discussion will benefit both Untar and Umri while strengthening cooperation in the field of public relations,” she said.

The Head of Kamasprokum Umri explained that the visit was motivated by Untar Public Relations’ achievement of winning three awards at the 2023 Diktiristek Awards in the Private Higher Education Institution (PTS) category for public relations.

The awards included a Gold Winner title in the Website and Social Media subcategory, as well as a Silver Winner award earned by Untar’s Head of Public Relations in the Public Relations Professional subcategory.

“This visit is highly valuable for us in learning about the public relations strategies and management practices implemented by Untar. These achievements have become our main motivation to conduct benchmarking and adopt best practices in public relations management from Untar,” he stated.

Furthermore, Anwar expressed his interest in Untar’s slogan as an “entrepreneurial campus” and hoped to implement a similar approach in managing public relations activities at Umri.

Also attending the visit were Head of External Relations Dr. Yugih Setyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., Head of Internal Relations Rorlen, S.E., M.M., and members of the Untar Public Relations Office staff. (KJ/PA/KJ)
