The Undergraduate Accounting Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar) reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Impactful Campus initiative through the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program. The initiative was realized through a series of MBKM Exhibitions held from November 10–21, 2025, at Campus II Untar, showcasing students’ works, innovations, and learning experiences beyond the classroom.
The event marked the culmination of the MBKM course and featured various activities, including entrepreneurship booths, an exhibition of 53 MBKM project posters, and a thematic seminar titled “From Bookkeeper to Accountantpreneur.” The entire series was designed to strengthen the relevance of accounting education to current industry dynamics and professional demands.
A total of 34 students participated in the Entrepreneurship scheme with a focus on developing food and beverage businesses, while three students developed vehicle accessory products and one student created an innovative shopping bag made from recycled plastic. In addition, 32 students carried out Teaching Assistance Programs at 11 partner senior high schools.
Student participation was also reflected in five students joining the Independent Study scheme, producing educational books and comics, three students participating in a student exchange program to Germany, and 125 students undertaking industrial and government internship programs. The diversity of these experiences demonstrates the program’s commitment to preparing graduates who are adaptive, creative, and globally competitive.
The exhibition concluded with an inspirational seminar featuring two speakers: Digital Marketing and Strategic Entrepreneur lecturer Airbah Tulus Makmud, S.T., M.B.A., M.Bus.Fin., who also holds a Digital Marketing certification from Toronto University; and food blogger as well as Brownie Lab business owner Vinny Laurencia, S.E.
In her presentation, Vinny Laurencia shared her experience in building and developing Brownie Lab. She emphasized that the business world is inseparable from ups and downs.
“Business owners cannot fully rely on autopilot systems, because there is always the potential for abuse of authority by internal parties if supervision and standard operating procedures are not consistently enforced,” she explained.
From a digital marketing perspective, Airbah Tulus Makmud highlighted the importance of consistency in social media advertising. He introduced the 5A concept—aware, appeal, ask, act, advocate—as strategic stages in building sustainable relationships with customers. Airbah emphasized that the advocate stage plays a crucial role in strengthening the entire marketing process, as loyal customers have the potential to become natural promoters of products or services.
Through the entire MBKM series, the Undergraduate Accounting Program of FEB Untar continues to strengthen the transformation of students from Bookkeepers into Accountantpreneurs—graduates who are not only technically competent, but also equipped with innovation capacity, entrepreneurial spirit, and adaptability to the challenges of modern industries.
