Doc: Untar Public Relations – VC

Untar welcomed a delegation from the Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages (SamDChTI), a university from Uzbekistan specializing in foreign philology, translation, and interpretation. The visit took place on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Untar’s Campus I in Jakarta.

The delegation was welcomed by Untar’s Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Collaboration, Sri Tiatri, S.Psi., M.Si., Ph.D., Psychologist. During the meeting, several potential areas of collaboration between the two institutions were discussed.

Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs of SamDChTI, Otabek Gaybullaev, expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome extended by Untar and conveyed his hope to explore various opportunities for academic collaboration.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Department for Cooperation with International Rankings, Javokhirkhon Nasrullaev, provided a brief overview of the academic atmosphere in Uzbekistan, particularly at SamDChTI. He also shared his previous experiences of collaboration with several universities in Indonesia.

“Currently, we aim to rebuild our relationships with educational institutions in Indonesia, and one of them is Untar,” he said.

Untar’s Vice Rector hopes that this meeting will serve as the first step in building a closer collaboration between Untar and SamDChTI. Untar remains open to establishing partnerships with various parties to enhance academic quality and expand its international network.

Also present at the meeting were the Head of the Untar Institute for Learning and Academic Innovation, Dr. Steven Darmawan, S.T., M.T., the Head of the Institute for Cooperation and International Relations, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hugeng, S.T., M.T. (SMIEEE), I.P.U., and the Head of the Communication Studies Program, Dr. Sinta Paramita, S.I.P., M.A.
