Enjoy Fasting, Stay Fit! Let’s Follow These 8 Tips!

Fasting is no excuse to feel sluggish all day! With a few tricks and a healthy lifestyle, you can stay active and refreshed while fasting. To make your fasting experience smoother, try these eight tips!

1. Don’t Skip Suhoor!
Suhoor is super important! Think of it as “fuel” for your body to stay strong throughout the day. Choose healthy and nutritious foods to stay energized until iftar.

2. Eat Healthy & Balanced Meals
Avoid foods high in sugar, salt, and unhealthy fats, as they can make you feel hungry and thirsty faster. Choose complex carbohydrates, protein, fiber, and healthy fats to keep your body fit.

3. Stay Hydrated, Don’t Get Dehydrated!
To keep your body hydrated, follow the 2-4-2 drinking rule. 2 glasses at iftar, 4 glasses in the evening, and 2 glasses at suhoor. This way, the body will not easily feel weak or lack fluids.

4. Eat Water-Rich Fruits
Watermelon, melon, oranges, and cucumbers are your best friends during fasting! Their high water content helps keep you hydrated and feeling fresh throughout the day.

5. Listen to Your Body – Rest When Needed
Feeling tired or sleepy? Don’t push yourself too hard! Take a short break—just 5-10 minutes or a quick power nap—to recharge your energy.

6. Exercise? You Can Still Do It!
Don’t use fasting as an excuse to stay inactive! The best time to exercise is 60 minutes before iftar or after Tarawih prayer. Choose light exercises to stay fit without losing too much fluid.

7. Maintain a Healthy Eating Pattern
Don’t overeat at iftar! Start with light foods like dates, soup, or sweet porridge (kolak). Avoid eating too fast and limit sugary, salty, caffeinated, and fried foods to prevent fatigue.

8. Get Enough Sleep, Don’t Stay Up Late!
Getting enough sleep is the key to staying energized. Try to sleep and wake up at the same time each day to keep your body’s cycle regulated and stay fresh throughout the day.

By following these tips, you can have a smooth fasting experience while keeping your body energized and healthy.
