The spirit of togetherness that characterized the competition was once again highlighted as the 2026 National Student Church Choir Festival (PESPARAWI) concluded on Friday (23/10/2026) at the Auditorium of Building M, Untar Campus I.

Head of LLDIKTI Region III, Dr. Henri Togar Hasiholan Tambunan, S.E., M.A., who officially closed the event, emphasized that art and music can unite people from diverse backgrounds. In a choir, each member is expected to set aside personal ego, respect one another, and work together to deliver the best possible performance.

For Untar as the host, the value of the event was also reflected in the friendships formed among participants. Head of Untar’s Student and Alumni Affairs Office and Chair of the 2026 PESPARAWI Organizing Committee, Tri Sutrisno, S.Si., M.Sc., stated that the success of the competition is measured not only by the awards received but also by the sense of togetherness built throughout the event.

This year marked the second time Untar had been entrusted with hosting the National Student PESPARAWI, following its previous role as host in 2020. This trust reflects Untar’s contribution to supporting student talent development and providing opportunities for higher education institutions from various regions across Indonesia to connect.

In addition to serving as host, Untar also celebrated an achievement through the Universitas Tarumanagara Choir (PSUT), which won a gold medal. Based on the judges’ assessment, led by Sonya Nadya Simanjuntak, S.I.Kom., Telkom University Choir was named the first-place winner. Beyond showcasing artistic ability, the competition also served as a platform for fostering sportsmanship and friendship among students from different universities. (CJ/YS)
